1 on 1 trajectory:
Effective Meditation

Would you also like to learn how to meditate effectively? But can't you get it done because your mind is busy and you are constantly distracted?

I can help you in this 1-on-1 trajectory, in which I make insightful and measurable what meditation is with neuro- and biofeedback. That way you can learn how to experience all the benefits of meditation, such as less stress, more productivity, health and inner balance.

You have a busy life, with a responsible job, a family and an active social life. You have got a busy mind too often, you always feel rushed and you are actually always 'on'. That bothers you; you are tense and irritated (too) often and you enjoy life less than you would actually like.

You have read and heard that meditating is a good way to calm your mind and relax your body. You are not into vagueness, but you hear more and more people around you who aren't either and who are very positive about meditating. You've looked into it and it seems to be exactly what you need.

Unfortunately, in practice you may not find it that easy to meditate. You have tried several types of meditation and you really try hard, but you are unable to meditate effectively because your mind is busy and you are easily distracted. You have difficulty with your breathing, become frustrated and doubt whether you are doing it right, which means you experience anything but the peace you are longing for.

In fact, your motivation has now fallen to rock bottom.

Do you recognize this?

  • You had a tough day today and decide to meditate before you start cooking. You could use a little rest and relaxation... You soon notice that your head is very busy. Everything goes through your head. You try to push it away every time, but you have no control over it. In the farthest you hear the music of your son. It is very very hard! Slowly you feel your irritation rise to a boiling point and notice that your body only feels more tense. When you hear the door close downstairs and your husband yell, "Hello! I'm home!', you give up. "Damn, can't I also have a moment to myself in this house?"

  • You've just started meditating when suddenly you feel the pinch of your bra under your T-shirt. Pffftt… that thing is so tight and uncomfortable. You try to focus on the voice again, but you can't take your attention away from that uneasy feeling. Shit! You don't want to move because then you're definitely out of it, but this doesn't work either. You try again, feel your tension and irritation getting bigger and then decide to take off your bra anyway. You turn off the meditation, take off your bra, throw it in the corner and sit back down. When you turn the sound back on, the only thing you feel is the frustration that you failed again.

  • You have read that your breathing is very important in meditation and that deep breathing calms your system. You follow the directions of the voice and try to breathe deeply in and out into your belly. You soon feel yourself getting a little out of breath. You keep going until you realize you don't like this at all. Instead of relaxation you feel tightness and dizziness and your heart races like crazy. You must be doing something completely wrong.

  • It's the weekend after a week of hard work. You feel the bustle in your head and the tension in your body. You know you should be meditating right now to relax, but you just can't bring yourself to do it. You're too tired. And besides, it probably won't work out anyway. Tomorrow…

  • A colleague has recommended a meditation with special sound effects that help her to relax and in which she says she 'sinks completely away, without thoughts'. Full of expectation you start the meditation. As soon as you realize that you are making an action list in your head, you feel the courage sink into your shoes. “No… not again!” You feel annoyed and wonder why others can do this but you can't. You need it so much that piece of peace in your head, but apparently you can't do this!

In short, it seems so wonderful to you to have a quiet mind and a relaxed body every now and then, but you have no idea how to do that. For now, meditating is all but calming you down, and you're close to giving up. But you know you're under too much stress right now and something really needs to be done to change that.

What would it be like

  • to be able to meditate with a calm head and relaxed body, without being distracted by everything that is happening around you?

  • if your meditation were a source of relaxation for you without being distracted by physical discomfort?

  • if your breathing didn't get in your way, but rather helped you to experience the benefits of meditation?

  • to have the discipline to meditate regularly, because it brings you a lot

  • if you no longer had to be insecure about whether you can meditate?

That is possible!
With this 1 on 1 trajectory in which you learn to meditate in 5 sessions using neuro- and biofeedback.

The entire process takes 8-12 weeks and consists of:

  • A 2.5 hour starting session in which I explain brain waves and measure your brain in stress and meditation.

  • 4 sessions of 1.5 hours in which we train and measure different types of brain waves

  • Meditations on audio to practice at home (about 20 minutes a day).

  • Reports of the various neuro- and biofeedback measurements.

What will this process bring you (if you really practice seriously😉):

  • You have the tools and handles to get peace of mind, so that you can meditate in a relaxed way

  • You know how to prevent distractions from stressing you out, making your meditation ineffective

  • You know how to use your breathing correctly, so that it helps you to relax further and better

  • You notice and experience that meditation brings you something, so it takes no effort for you to make time for it

  • You are no longer insecure, because you know what meditation brings you and you have the tools and the experience to apply it in the right way.

So that you can optimally experience all the benefits of meditation - also in the long term!

The entire trajectory requires an investment of 999,- euros (or 2 x 525,-)

This is what others say about me who have received biofeedback meditation training

"In only 5 sessions, Tessa taught me different forms of meditation and provided insights on the basics of what the different brain waves and heart rhythm variability mean.

By measuring your brain waves and your heart rate, you actually see what the impact of meditation is on you. With her expertise and enthusiasm she can clearly explain what happens to your (sub)consciousness in the meditation sessions.

I saw progress every session and was able to relax faster and connect better to myself. I still practice regularly at home. This ensures that I experience less stress and really learn to listen to myself."

Frequently asked questions.

I'll answer some of the questions you may have.

How long does this trajectory take?

This process has a lead time of at least 8 - 12 weeks, depending on the availability in our calendars. We agree on the dates in mutual consultation.

How much time should I invest in this process to experience less stress?

This trajectory consists of 1 sessions of 1.5 hours and 4 sessions of 1.5 hours. It is also important to practice 20-30 times a day at home to train your brain.

What is Neuro and Biofeedback?

Biofeedback is the collective term for the forms of therapy in which technical aids are used to demonstrate signals from the body. By giving these body signals back to someone, they gain insight and they can consciously learn to exert more influence on them. Neuro feedback is a specific form of biofeedback, in which the activity of your brain is measured using an EEG device.

Can I also pay in installments?

If you prefer not to make a one-off payment of 999 euros, you can also pay in 2 installments of 525 euros. The first payment is made before the first session, the second payment after 4 weeks.

Is this route covered by insurance?

No, this process is (unfortunately) not reimbursed by the insurance, but often your employer is willing to pay (in part). After all, it is (also) in the employer's interest that you learn how to handle stress from your work better.

Where do the measurements and sessions take place?

In principle, all sessions take place in Heiloo (Op de Wieken 3), but can also take place elsewhere in consultation, for an additional fee (additional travel and location costs).

Yes, I want to learn how to meditate effectively!
